I realize I sounded impatient, but I was really just eager to really be
able to use my Newton as a complete Palm replacement. I know it's big
and heavy compared to my Palm, but I get that it's a very powerful
device. I'm not giving up yet. It's wonderful that there's a community
of users willing to help other new users.

I will do that. I have a feeling what I'm going through has is nothing
new and won't be new to users coming after me.
