Actually I think Don's point is a very good one. The issue isn't the
mac at all, but the Newton Notes program at it's limitation with
regard to note size.
Try making a text file that is only one or two pages and test that
first. If it works ok, perhaps something like big notes is in order,
In fact a quick googling shows
"BigNotes removes the 4k limit on the Newton Notes
application"
So I think that is your issue exactly.
