I like MemoryStick, though it is slightly more expensive.

I generally figure the point of having a PowerBook is that it is
portable ;)

Hmmm. Netfront 3.1 (which can be installed on models with 3.0 at least)
fixes a lot of bugs. It's the best handheld browser I have used for a
long time.

I was under the impression that it did, although WLAN has to be added
it has sufficient slots to do so.

But the nontechnical people get nothing from this article. They don't
explain that you have to be using some sort of secure route to your
desktop machine unless you're on your own LAN (unless you have the
worlds greatest antenna and have WiFi on your own LAN everywhere?),
they don't mention the real technology behind it - so nontechnical
people will just get "oh, that's neat! How do I do it" and be none the
wiser.

I wasn't aware that you couldn't use fingers on a regular touchscreen,
aside from the grubbiness. That's what screen protectors are for :D...
and the price of the Sony is insane. Why not just carry another
PowerBook or iBook. I suppose that being a 'columnist' you can blag it,
but one hopes that your coverage is considerably more productive than
the Wired article proved to be.

Er, my point was that I do do the same, albeit with a Clie instead of
MS crap. So do thousands, if not millions, of others. It's like
printing an article saying "I have a car, and I have a garage, and I
use ROADS! to get from one place to another. And hey, I run my car on
FUEL!". It doesn't even specify what fuel!

Richard (WTF is up with this quoting still? Is it something in mail.app
perhaps which I can change when I send an email?)
