Brad,
I modified a $30 Palm III streetfinder to work with GPSmap, but I did
have to make my own maps.
The modification was pretty easy though, and a LOT less expensive than a
PCMCIA gps card. I even attached some velcro to my old newton so that I
could mount it onto the GPS which was mounted on the windshield. Pretty
cool ^_^ (Ok, not as cool as a real GPS, but cheap anyway!)
As far as maps go, you really have to make your own :\ which kinda sucks.
