When using the the Keyspan serial adapter with OS X you have to decide
if you are going to use it for OS X or Classic. According Keyspan's
website if you are planning on using the adapter under classic not to
install the drivers for OS X. I have not been able to use the adapter
under classic on the machine I installed the drivers for OS X. I am
able to use the driver under classic on a machine I did not install the
OS X drivers on. It has been said on this list that it is possible but
I have not gotten both of these (the driver under OS X and Classic on
the same machine) to work. You may be able to uninstall the OS X
driver and install the OS 9 driver under classic (I have not tried
this) if you want NCU connectivity. Here are the links for the OS 9
