I think it was Don Norman in one of his books who was discussing this very
point. Correct me if I am wrong, but he said that ebooks are great for
reference since you can search them, but for reading you can't beat paper
copies.
Currently the resolution is too low for a reasonable amount of text in a
small format being read by a dim light source such as a bedside lamp. I've
seen systems that have page turner buttons and graphics that simulate the
page flipping. Somehow it all seems like a computer looking for an
application rather than a solution to a real issue.
