Sadly my experience was not to helpful since my HP 2610 has IP
capability, but I continue top follow this tread.
I keep hoping that someone else has solved a similar problem and will
offer a solution, but it may be up to you.

If I recall correctly, when I set up my Epson 740 matching the
correct Queue to the CUPS printer was the biggest challenge. How did
you determine the Queue address?

I would reset both the Newton and the router before assuming that
anything was wrong with either address.
