Hello everyone,
I'm offering up a few Newton items for those who may be interested. Please respond off-line (to my e-mail address), rather than follow the current trend of bloating the Newtontalk digests with unnecessary blather. Here are the items:
1 - mint condition Newton keyboard with original packaging (Newton keyboard box, etc)
$40 OBO plus shipping
1 - Newton "cigarette" modem; intended for early Newtons, so it has a low baud rate. Might be of interest to a collector. Any offers?
1 - TPS Electronics scanner pen; I could not get this thing to work correctly on my MP 2100, but others might have better luck; comes with original user guide book with sample scan-in bar codes for setting up the device. Any offers?
Blank cards (to protect empty PC card slots) Any offers?
1 - Voyager VGA (Super VGA Adapter) PC card; this card is designed to feed computer screen output to a second VGA or possibly a projector; complete with dongle/15-pin female connector. I was hoping this might work with a Newton in similar fashion to the TV card, but I could not get it to work. It probably needs a driver program to work with the Newton, but it should work with older laptops. I got this from a former developer of THE Newton company, so perhaps it could be made to work on a Newton. Probably only of interest to hardware developers. Any offers?
