[NTLK] No more Type 10 error, but less hair

Well, after pulling out the little remaining hair left, I am now
quite balding ;-)

Was unable to make a fundamental connection using NCU from my 2100 to
my 9.2.2 desktop. No go.
So, I tried downloading a "fresh" copy of NCU from unna, ran the
installer, and now I am able to properly launch my Newton Connection
Utility normally. Jeeze. Nothing is ever easy.

I'm attempting [emphasis on attempting] to set up a dedicated
"legacy" dual G4 box with a fresh virgin install of Classic 9.2.2.
Step by step I am thwarted at every turn, but not to be dissuaded, I
forge on. One step forward, two back.

So now at least I've got 9.2.2 and NCU tamed.

Next, I had fully intended upon using one of the GeeThree Stealth
Serial ports which plugs into the modem socket on the dual G4 logic
board directly so as to create a mock legacy serial port. Of course
when I go to my Newton to dock I get no connection. Checked all my
extensions on the desktop and they are up and running, so go figure.
So, decided to move on to plan B to use a Keyspan USB to serial
dongle. Jeeze.

I uninstalled the GeeThree stealth port board and disabled all the
GeeThree extensions so they would not interfere.
Then I ran the Keyspan installer, double checked to verify all the
Keyspan extensions were up and running; they were.

Tried again to make a connection from my 2100 to my desktop on the
Keyspan. Nope. Jeeze.

Tried a "different" 2100 and a "different" serial cable to verify it
was not the Newton or the cable. Nope. Jeeze.

I am ready to give up. Not much hair left to extract.

Now what? I will never give up! I will connect!
