GOT IT TO RUN ON MY NEWTON!
I posted it here as a .sit file:
Right Click on the file 1984.pkg.sitx on this page to download the link
to your desktop system, then expand it. Then install the package to your
Newton. It'll take up about 2.5MB I think, so you'll probably want to
install it to a FlashCard, etc. Then it'll show up in Extras as "1984".
Just tap it and it should play the FULL LENGTH 1984 ad in a window on
your Newton, including the sound!
I am probably violating someone's copyright, I believe it's Lee Moon's
work from 1997. I'll try to contact Lee for formal permission to me to
leave this file up on my server for anyone in the NTLK List [only] to
download. In any event I am trying to act in good faith and will contact
Lee. If I can't reach him in a day or so I'll take down the file.
9/17/05 John Hay issued the following and I have taken literary license
to pass it along on a "Need to Know Basis" . . . ?
>I found a package on one of the original boxed CD's that shipped with
the production Newtons in the late '90's called 1984.pkg.
