Hello,
if the device doesn't appear as en2 or something like that in ifconfig,
then the kernal doesn't recognize it as a network interface devic. you
may need to install drivers on you mac to get it to properly load it as
a NIC.
I think parsing your router's logs may be the best way to go.
I don't
know how network savvy you are, but you could also plug the card into
your newton and try to connect to a peer-to-peer network set up on your
mac and run 'sudo tcpdump -vvvi en1' to get link level information about devices
connecting to the computer. It would probably be easiest just to get it
from the router tho.
