To be honest, Ryan - if your main need for a Newt is taking notes etc,
I'd recommend an eMate. You should be able to pick one up on eBay in
the US for less than 50 dollars, and they'll be much simpler for note
taking, as of course the keyboard's built in.

Only downside, is it'll be a bit of trudge doing e-mail with it. But
still possible.
