If you can get someone to dismantle it, try cleaning the flexible
connector at the top of the screen/motherboard that is the digitizer's
signal cable. Use Isopropyl alcohol/methylated spirits. Also clean the
contacts on the motherboard and then test it again. Might just need a
clean & a re-seating. Sorry I'm so far away in Aus, but I'd do it for
you if I could. Opening an MP2k isn't as daunting as people make it out
to be. I have five MP2100's, two MP130's, two eMates and an OMP and all
have been stripped down to barebones parts at least once each, some a
dozen times. The internals are really beautiful and full of ingenuity.
