If you're up for it, you could "crack" open the case and use some
jumpers to pinpoint the fault.

Sounds like the MP is teetering in the edge and may need a little TLC or
a kick in the ass maybe.

I'll bet if you have the initiative and the skills [don't do this unless
you have the feel for electronics, etc.] you will visually note
something along the power pathway once the case is opened up for surgery ;-)
