This repair is so easy it is almost funny. I wasn't going to do my
daughters machine but once apart I saw it was close to terminating the
cable that I was glad I fixed it. YMMV, it's your machine and of course
it will break when you must have it and can't get to the replacement ;-)

ps I'm burning additional DVD's for those who've requested them. If
there is any additional info anyone would like included then it should
get to me. also if there is anything noticed that should be replaced
then let me know and if you have the replacement data I'll 'fix' it. Yes
I have DVD's allocated to other continents for those who requested them
(if you already have a copy then let me know and I'll take you off the
list). Thank you to those who contributed to this effort via the info on
the disk and $$ to defray costs. I'm a bit slow to deliver as I go to
work before the PO is open, come home after it closes and work every
other SAT.
