[NTLK] emate backlight

Hello all,

I'm looking for some advice on how to change the color of my emate
backlight from green to white. Is this something I can do myself, and
if so, where do I get the right light? Is there anyone out there
willing to do this for me? I'm a writer in love with the emate -- but
I just cannot stand that green light.

Also: I don't suppose there's any easy way to get rid of the
high-pitched whine whenever I use the backlight?
