[NTLK] IrDA Adapters and Newtons

Hello Everyone,

I'm talking with a fellow who has a couple IrDA serial adapters, which he
says were built into
into Rev A-B 233-266MHz iMacs. Now, if memory serves, (and do correct me if
I'm wrong)
the PM 9600 has serial ports. Would I be able to use these adapters so that
my 9600 could be transformed into a Newton Junque Box (i.e. used to put
things on/take things off of the Newton via IR)?

Does anyone have experience with these adapters? I'm wondering if they're
at least "known to work" in conjunction with Newtons. While these adapters
aren't expensive, the thought of ending up with Yet More Stuff for the parts
bin doesn't excite me as I am already knee-deep in the hoopla.

Best,

James Fraser
