You may also want to try one of the several methods to revive you battery pack that has somewhat limited success...
  There's the freezing method...I was able to revive 3 out of 5 Dell Latitude laptop batteries this way. And there's the smacking it really hard on a hard surface..a kind of "rapping" if you will...I was able to revive one of the above laptop batteries that didn't do so well with the freezing thing...Each method has it's proponents with varied scientifical blah-blah that helps explain what it is we are experiencing (kinda after the fact science)
  btw, out of the 4 revived batteries, one died within several charges after these attempts to revive...I don't know which one died though...I still have three batteries that work that I would have otherwise thrown away!
  Check the archives for details on these marvelous revival methods.
