Hello Eric:
If you have purchased a licensed copy of Dashboard for your Newton, you
can go into Dashboard's preferences section and alter one of the
scripts that handles fonts. It took me a bit of experimentation, but I
found that by altering one or two tiny things in one line of the script
template, I could quickly change fonts to different types or sizes. I
went through the font template script, duplicated it numerous times,
changed a line or two of code, and then renamed each subsequent file.
Once I get my licensed copy of "PackMan", I should be able to assemble
a nice collection of quick font-changing tools in .PKG form, for the
benefit of the Newton masses.
So to recap, I do have scripts that will allow you to quickly change a
selected bit of text in Notepad to a subscript, superscript, or
whatever font type/style/size that you want (within reason). Let me
know if you have a working copy of Dashboard and GestureLaunch. Then,
I'll see if I can find the time to post the script coding for making
your font 'superscripted' for footnotes. I hope this is helpful.
