Hi,
I tried this.
I removed my memory card from the Newton, and did a hard reset
(pressing reset and the power button at the same time so it asked me
to clean out the memory).
Then I had to reinstalled a few packages (Newton Devices, that has to
be stored in the Internal store). I reconfigure my mail setting. The
same problem is there again.
I really don't understand what I did wrong, unless the memory card
has a problem, maybe it got corrupted somehow. Anyway to validate this?
By the way, when I did reinstalled the few NIE packages I got a
strange problem. When I reinstalled the Localtalk package, the Newton
froze and completely shut down. I had think it may have been the
battery empty, so I removed it and replace it with the AA battery
tray and the power supply (without battery) to no avail. Then I
waited a few minutes, and put back the battery in it, and it come
back to life... Any idea what has been wrong here?
Thanks
