I can confirm tipic.com does indeed allow plaintext logins. I had to
fill out a form on their website to generate an account however
(could not generate it through the normal means.)
Once i created the account I then logged in with Psi (a Mac Os Jabber
client) and added any transports I wished to use. [In fact I
registered an aim transport off of jabberworld.org]
Before I could connect properly on the newton I had to log in with
Psi using the same resource as NewtonIM.
Sadly tipic's website is down at the moment hopefully it will be back
up within the next 24 hours. (Their jabber service persists even as I
type this.)
