well, the main idea is that open source projects do not always have
the force to survive, while commercial projects sometimes do. OS X
is, IRC, based on NetBSD. while OS X is expanding its user base
bayond belief these days, NetBSD has not travelled the same paths.

i htink this might be interesting as a reminder when the community
discusses open source. open source is good, but there should
certeinly be room for making money on serious headwork as well. im
not against open source, but i still think that link is worth reading.
