Only really designed for small capacity(approx. 500mAh or so) nicads,
just has a diode for reverse polarity/voltage feedback protection for
the panels and a resistor. Output is only a few milliamps. Not gonna do
anything for the charger circuitry inside the Newton, I reckon. It's
cheap amorphous solar panels and hardened plastic shaped with a lens
pattern to focus more sunlight on the panels.
