Further question. ATA support seems to be available with drivers from
Kallisys.com (http://www.kallisys.com/newton/ata/), but I believe I read
that only 5V cards are compatible with the Newton. Is this true? Is there
are PCMCIA card reader that would/could be compatible? This would be a
memory boon!

BTW - new to the group. On the map. Owned a 130 between 1995 and 1997.
Apple pitched it. I went through many alternatives (Philips Nino, Palm V
and Tungsten, Compaq iPaq 3630). Recently picked up a 2000 and loving it
again, but having to reacquaint myself with all of the particulars.

Respectfully,

Dana

Nope. Newtons use linear flash memory, modern memory cards are ATA
flash memory. You need ATA Support to use these cards.
