I've used Macs of that vintage to hold up shelves. To matter the fact I also have Duo Docks and Atari Percom floppy drives holding up shelves, and 810 Atari floppy drives holding open doors. I call it retro decorating, which is effectly my way of storing retro computers and putting them to use at the same time. :)
Oh yeh, forgot the Mac 660 AV, Mac II, and Atari CS1224 Monitor that is currently the base holding up my plate maile armor stand. ;)
