[NTLK] Newton Keyboard in Mac OS X?

I found the Newton Keyboard Enabler which works in Pre-OS X.

I saw the note in the wiki requesting information from anyone that
got the keyboard to work in OS X.

I have a Keyspan USB 2 port serial device, and I see the ports (both
tty and cu) in /dev

Is there a way to get the system to read the keyboard from there,
even if it was only in the Terminal or X11 or something?
