Dear Newton Community,
I want to thank first Oliver Harms of PIXsolution Group ( pixsolution.com )
first for his contributions over the years to the Newton Community. I know
that not many of us were able to afford the great creations he developed but
some of you did.

One of his creations was "Speedy"
The first hardware accelerator for the Apple Newton MessagePad 120/130.

During the past year I was in contact with Oliver - he offered to give me
all of his remaining stock of Speedy PCBs on the condition that:
1) I would announce it here on NTLK
2) I'd offer them for FREE plus shipping charges
and
3) I would specifically indicate that he was giving them to the Newton
Community for FREE.

Oliver wanted to express his gratitude to the Newton Community who supported
him through this gift of the Speedy PCBs.

With the help of Frank Gruendel I have now come into possession of these
boards. Since there are so few I hope not to receive too many emails from
people requesting one immediately.

NOTE:
Limit - there will of course be only ONE per person.
(No-One who is doing Sales of Newton for a business/profit will be allowed
to get one.)
I'm sorry, I was asked that I not sell these so I'm not going to let these
go into the hands of people who's primary job is to make a profit.

IMPORTANT:
During my discussion with Frank - it was determined that these boards are
not usable. There is supposedly a programmable chip in the mix which we have
no way to program to make them work. I trust Frank's technical expertise in
this matter and suggest if you happen to want to inquire further you could
try him, BUT we don't have the information anyways to program it with with
so it's really no use ask.

DISBURSEMENT:
Frank & I have all the PCBs dispersed between the two of us. The supply is
limited (very limited) so ONLY ONE PER PERSON.

- REMEMBER when emailing me, ONLY ONE email request. If you send more than
ONE I will place you on the NO list. (I will confirm receipt of your email
when I see it.)

- PLEASE WAIT for Frank to mention that he is ready to take requests before
emailing him. If you emailed him before he indicated it I would personally
place you on a NO list. I'm not sure what Frank would do, but I think people
should follow instructions.

ADDITIONAL NOTE:
I have an original Speedy Product Manual from Oliver which I will scan in
and make a PDF of. When I get a chance I will announce it here on this
thread. If you want a copy of this all you need to do is *reply to* this
post directed to me off list and in the body of the email indicate Speedy
Manual. Again you MUST REPLY to this email. If not your requests will be
IGNORED.

I hope this is a nice welcomed New Years Gift for the Newton Community.
Additional announcement to follow.
