[NTLK] Top 10 Apps?

I've been rummaging through UNNA a few times now, and the sheer depth
and breath of the archive is rather intimidating, especially when
very little of it has any sort of description attached. Many
directories and PKGs have no readme, no documentation, and sometimes
no discernible title. Oftentimes, the only thing to do is to start
installing and playing with applications almost randomly.
So, given the fact that I'm still a newbie, and without the benefit
of any real knowledge of these packages, I'd like to ask: what would
you folks consider your top ten applications, games and utilities,
maybe with a one-line description of each? I think something like
that would give us newbies a great place to start experimenting with
our new machines....

all my best,
dj
