[NTLK] Phones compatible with MP2k

Hi there

Can members suggest a mobile phone that is compatible, and PROVEN to
work, with an MP2000.

All I need is to be able to send emails when out and about in the car
and ideally use NewtSMS.
I don't mind if the model is old or basic but as long as hooking it up
via bluetooth, Irda or a cable is actually do-able for a novice and
reliable.
Can anyone suggest a model that they have actually got to work in this
way.

(I'm totally frustrated with trying to achieve this with my Nokia
Cardphone2)

Replacing the Newt - with a Blackberry, or i-phone is not an option.
