Hi Dan
I've checked the archives and have not found a conclusive answer, or
procedure.
But some thoughts.
If you are direct connecting to the Pismo are you using a crossover
cable?. I don't think the Pismo was able to auto detect.
Is the pismo's Appletalk control panel set for ethernet?
with NCU running check it's preferences to see if it is looking for
an appletalk connection.
The default setting for the 'Dock' button on the eMate is 'Classroom
Dock', use the 'dock' icon in the extras drawer.
In the eMates 'prefs' try setting appletalk to 'ethertalk'
