I would not put it that strict. Flash cards can easily read byte-by-
byte, so it would be no problem at all to duplicate the same type of
flash card on XP (assuming you can exchange flash cards between
Newtons, with AFAIK you can).

It would also be possible to write an interpreter for the Newton file
system. It would be involved, but possible.

A true hacker would go and then write a kernel level driver so that
the Newton card gets recognized by the host operating system, but all
that would be hours, days, or even months of work. Any volunteers?
