Actually if you have a 7W or 9W Newton Adapter all you need to do is round
off the corners on the Plug (two of them) and you're good to go. It's only
the Plug end that proprietary.
I have a Newton Adapter that had it's Plug (oh Tip end) replaced and it
works fine.
