[NTLK] Mail V problems

I am still trying to use Mail V and have now got a mac email account, just to see if it works with Mail V which I am told it does. But it does not work with me, the card clearly connects but it says there is something wrong with how I have set up email access, yet I followed the instructions completely. And when I looked on the Owner Info afterwards, I see that the word "disabled" has appeared after my title for the email access!
 
Any ideas?
