No guarantees, because I've never had this specific problem, but have
you tried a soft reset by pushing the reset button on the back? Often,
when the poor Newton's brains get addled, this sets things aright.
Also, try re-inserting the original card that you checked to save info
onto, and uncheck that option--but I doubt it will help--at least
until you do the soft reset.
