I had the same problem with an Apple 2 meg card and a Pretec 4 meg card. I
still try them from time to time. After maybe a year, the Pretec card
started to work again, no reason why, it just did. The Apple 2 meg card has
never fired up again. I'm afraid your card maybe gone for good but even if
it is only on vacation it may not come back for a year. I would invest in a
new card and restore the back up.
