I have a stopwatch... I'm going to test a 2,449KB movie download to both
types... the linear and the ATA.
Give me a minute or two.

The evidence might support this. But, it may also just be that the Newton
hardware is sensitive enough to be affected by slower older CF
technologies, while adjusting happily to the newer, speedier descendents.

Good News... Bad News...
Daily operational speeds: Launching, HWR and the like feel normal... as
fast as linear. Playing the 1984.pkg movie hiccuped only once, in the
middle, with my new 1GB 150x ATA card.
Now the other half of the story...
Large data transfers feel about... 5% the speed of Linear (takes 20x the
time to download 2.4MB via wifi)

I'll let you know.

ummm... I can't tell difference.

Could be... but I doubt it. I am going to buy a 1GB Extreme IV Card
tomorrow though... just to find out.
