I have a similar problem with my 2100. Sometimes when I hold down the power
button to turn on the back light, it just turns off. I'm thinking that the
power button may be a bit dirty. Anyway, I just loaded one of the back light
control utilities and control the back light from there. You might try that
on your 130.

However, after using the backlight a few times, swicthing it on and off with
the power switch, it now refuses to come on. The batteries are basically at
full charge, the light just won't come on now. Any ideas what has caused
this, and how I can fix it?
