In addition if you wanted to do this from across the room what you would

EZ2VGA is the RIGHT way to go, but until you can find one, you can
always do what we Atari Lynx and Newton users do when we want to see our
small devices on the big screen... we use a digital camera mounted just
above the screen. :)
Ok, it's not pretty, but it works, and it's cheap!!
