Just an update on the replacement Pismo battery from powerbookmedic.
The new battery arrived, as reported earlier, one day after the order was placed in good condition. The new 6600 MAh battery refuses to charge past 36% in a Pismo and a Lombard won't even recognize the battery. Tried both bays in both computers. Did all the troubleshooting possibe such as resetting PRAM and PMU on both units. Ran the Apple diagnostics. Ran minibatterylogger. Just called powerbookmedic's tech support line and the call was answered on the second ring. The representative listened to what I had done to test the battery and issued an immediate cross ship RMA. The replacement battery will arrive here with saturday delivery. That's the type of customer support story you like to hear.
