Ink text on NPDS was an experimental, if that, offering. My personal
experience (and I've been running an NPDS server for at least 8 years
now) is that NPDS is not going to do what you want it to do.
Having said that, you have an eMate, with a keyboard. There exists
freeware keyboarding software. Additionally, there is a version of
Type to Learn for the eMate available on UNNA. Learn to use a
keyboard: you will find you can type faster than you can write
freehand. Use NewtonWorks on the eMate, not Notes, which in my opinion
and use lags as the document gets larger, even with BiggerNotes
installed in my case.
From there email via Mail V on your eMate is trivial. You can email
your document from NewtonWorks via Mail V and the Routing Slip (I've
confirmed this works for me, YMMV). It's choking as you are currently
trying to use it because Mail V is probably trying to convert your ink
text into a GIF and hitting heap issues, even if you have a memory
expansion card in your Newton (not a Flash memory card but something
like a NewerTech Card).
Running NPDS on an eMate is not for the faint of heart. If you have a
MessagePad 2100 definitely check it out, as well as the site:
