Sorry...
I'm not using NCX.
It is highly likely that restoring data that is corrupted, will restore
corrupted data.
However...
I use NCU.
It has the ability to do a "selective" restore. If I know that the
corruption is in my System Information, I could restore everything else
but the System Information.
If the corruption is in my Notes or Names soup, I would try to export
the data from my Newton to tab delimited file. I can then examine this
tab delimited data to see if I am able to identify the offending
record. Then I would examine the record on my Newton and attempt to
correct the corruption or delete the corrupted record.
