Oh, that's right! I forgot. The Pismo needs some kind of hardware,
like a hub or switch. I don't remember why, but it doesn't work with a
crossover, and can't do a connection with a normal cable, without a
hub. I've been so many years since I tried this, I forgot. BTW, my
Pismo is _still_ my main/only computer. :-)
And I still wonder if you are using NCK 2.0, rather than NCU. NCK
stands for Newton Connection Kit.
