I just found those, there was another one where the price was $70 and not
$60. I guess the price is not that steep.... As I play with the PCMCIA GPS
unit, I have found that it sucks the battery dry pretty fast. I was thinking
that if I'm using GPS in the car, powering from the car to keep the Newt
battery fresh would be ideal. I do already have an inverter that I use for
other stuff, I just wanted to check out an option with a minimum of "moving
parts".

For that price get a 12v to 110v inverter and use your regular Newton power
supply. Or a laptop, or cell phone charger or a portable dvd player or
recharge your battery drill . . . You get the idea. I've seen inverters for
less than $20US and nice ones for around $35US.
