I'm trying, Ryan, I'm trying. But there really isn't anything out there
that would do for me what my Newton does. If I had to function without my
2100, the hit on my practical functioning would be immense until I figured
out some way to compensate, and in all likelihood it would involve several
contraptions, each of which would do only a fraction of what I take for
granted from Newtie, and none of which would do anything as well.

I'm not so much desolate (yet!) as anxious. :-)
