Hey people I was recalling that this MiniDIN8 (M/M) is NOT possible at least
to my understanding specifically with the Keyspan USB to MiniDIN8 adapter.
The site stated that they don't offer any drivers for it's use with a PC
(neither alpha or beta) as the issues with their use were deem problematic.
Well if Keyspan (now Tripp Lite) did not offer it then I'd doubt others
companies would have spent the time... but this is IMO :P

Interesting. Like I said I've only rarely seen Mac serial to usb adapters but I wasn't aware they didn't have pc drivers. I guess it makes sense as you'd also need a pc driver for your device that has a Mac serial port and it's probably unlikely the manufacturer made such a driver unless the device had a special mini din to de-9 cable or a de-9 port on board. It has come into common usage to call it a db-9 but its correctly called a de-9, the B refers to a larger connector size unusally used for 25 pin serial, E refers to the small connector shell the 9 pin serial ports use.
