Hi,
you can disable the firewall in Leopard to open the ports, use a
program like WaterRoof or use the terminal:
sudo ipfw add allow tcp from 3679 to 3679
To close the port, use "deny" instead of "allow".
I give a step-by-step explanation how to connect the Newton to the Mac
on my website. Unfortunately, I didn't translate it into English, yet.
But maybe the pictures will help you although they were not made under
Leopard. Have a look at http://home.arcor.de/steffen.bendix/Newton
Go to the category "Newton & MacOS X".
