[NTLK] the case of the yellow light

My trusty eMate is still going well, albeit not for many years with a backlight, but now it no longer changes the color of the light from yellow to green when it is fully charged. Nothing else seems to be different, and I just wonder if I should be worried. I always found the change in light comforting somehow, but I can live without it if I have to.
