I don't know if it _is_ the way forward. It's certainly not for me. I
have no desire to buy one. For myself, I'm happy with my Treo and am
waiting for the Pre to mature and be available to me in Poland. :-)
However, my coworker has an iPhone, and loves it. It has the software
he likes and uses, and granted, some of it I would like to have on my
Treo (sadly, no hopes of ever seeing this stuff on the Newton). I'm
just not sold on the iPhone interface (no stylus or keyboard?)

Also, for me, the software isn't there yet. Specifically, I want a
really decent Polish-English dictionary (I'm waiting for Lingvosoft),
and a replacement for my PalmBible+. There is nothing to replace these
two--and Docs to Go, although, that now seems to be on the iPhone. ;-)
I'm with Steve on that. I have used it extensively, although, I never
used the sync software. I just store my docs as genuine Word files on
my SD card, and copy them back and forth. IMO, much simpler than
syncing--and faster. I wonder how this stuff will work on the
iPhone--or Pre. Actually, what I _really_ want is an improved Treo!
But that ship has sailed together with the Newton one. :-( Why is it
the best tech gets abandoned?
