So, I am hunting for a descent web browser for my NMP 2k. I decided to
try nethopper, an oldie but a goodie. It works, but I can't load pages
like google.
I found the NHCharsets.pkg, and the ZNHPatch.pkg. Downloaded and
installed them. I performed a soft reset on my newt, and it loads the
packages. Upon loading these two new packages, each one throws an error:
"An error occurred activating the package "ZHPatch:DPR". It may not
work with this system. Contact the software publisher for further
information. (Part 0, Type auto)"
and:
"An error occurred activating the package "NHCharsets:DPR". It may not
work with this system. Contact the software publisher for further
information. (Part 0, Type auto)"
Both similar, and cryptic. I remember about 2-3 years ago, I had this
whole setup working flawlessly, google loading, with images and
everything.
I found the Packager OS X application, and ran all the newton packages
through it to "newtonize" them. Still nothing.
No amounts of resets will fix this.
I am running the latest patch on my 2000. The user created 710031 that
patches the dates/find bug. Maybe that's it. If need be, I will
downgrade to the last apple issued patch.
Any ideas?
