[NTLK] dreaming

Wow.... It's been quite a few years since I signed up for NewtonTalk, and quite a few years since I changed my status to "vacation" and then the list slipped out of my mind. It's a pleasure to receive these messages again!
The Newt is still a great device, and I love my 120. (Reckon it's about time I upgrade to a 2k/2100? ;) ) I don't use it as much anymore, since I did sort of "jump ship." I bought an iPod Touch, because I do believe it's the successor to the Newton -it and the iPhone broke new ground in the PDA/communications device market, just as the Newton did. However, a silly little soft-keyboard is nowhere near a substitute for Newton's HWR.
It's great to know there are still people out there who are committed to the Newt and its platform. I plan to continue my Newton use as long as I possibly can, even though it's no longer my daily carry device.
